Our members are women a lot like you. They come from diverse backgrounds and hold a variety of interests. Their common bond is their lineal descent from patriots of the American Revolution . Any woman, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove this lineage is eligible to join.

We are women who

  • care about fostering good citizenship
  • want to honor our ancestors
  • are devoted to the education of our youth
  • want to preserve our past for future generations

Many of us enjoy

  • learning about American history
  • researching genealogy
  • coordinating local community service projects
  • sharing in family DAR traditions
  • participating in commemorative events

We are women who live in the Richland area of Washington state, near the Columbia River.  As a chapter, we are a warm and small portion of a much larger organization the Washington State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  We embrace our state motto of

Patriotism, Reverence, Remembrance

and support our Washington State Regent in her theme of

Celebrating Our Heritage of Patriotism

Together, with the larger organization of  the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution we are a proud and active group that accomplishes amazing feats.
